Still a small harbour town, fresh sea bass is caught daily and can be bought down on the quayside, straight off the boat. If you don’t fancy cooking yourself, there are a number of restaurants and bars serving excellent local cuisine.
Akbuk town hosts a small beach and enough shops and amenities to cater for all of your basic needs. Every Friday, there is a local produce market, where you can stock up on olives, bread, fruit and vegetables at real value for money prices. Blau Villas is conveniently located for walking into the town and visiting the beach at 1500m away.
 Boat trips can be taken from the harbour to some of the Aegean’s most beautiful bays and there are many ancient sites to explore nearby, such as the 4th Century Temple of Apollo and the ancient cities of Pirene and Miletus. For those looking for a livelier resort with sandy beaches and a bigger selection of shops, bars and restaurants, Altinkum is just 15 minutes away.
